Week 2: Understanding Comics

Understanding comics has a variety of points that make you look at comics in a different way. There were many topics that made me extremely involved in the comic. The one that stood out to me the most was the way our mind pictures ourselves. This is something that we all do, and I have come to realize that I don't picture myself in a detailed way, yet I never read about it anywhere before. The fact that cartoons are something that we connect ourselves with more is amazing, because we mentally fill in the gaps that aren't there. This also relates to how people enjoy books more than movies sometimes. You can fill in all of the gaps of the physical characters with the concepts in your mind. Another thing that I love is how this comic really picks at your brain and points out things that you do on a daily basis, that you don't realize you do. A woman is dancing, she might be a witch of some sort, and has knocked someone down the stairs; A feathered chicken creature stands over the dead woman’s body placed on top of a table in a very elegant room; Two creatures are now standing in a room speaking with a lady, the dead woman is being buried The creatures are properly burying her; There has been a murder of the chicken man’s wife; It was probably the witch woman again, the chicken man spies on her; The chicken man is angry and has told his wife’s friends about what happened, he wants the avenge his wife, the women are in distress; He creeps around at night and two young girls hide, because they were supposed to be in bed.
